UMPG has inked Nigerian-American songwriter/producer Chidi “Chi ChiOsondu to an exclusive, global publishing deal.

From Jonesboro, Georgia, Chi Chi is best known for his “trap ballads,” blending classical notes to Atlanta’s popular trap sound.

His credits include co-creating BRS Kash’s “Throat Baby,” which hit #1 on Urban radio, garnered 29m+Spotify streams RTD and 14m+ YouTube views.

He's also produced hits for Grammy-nominated rapper Lil Baby, such as “Solid,” “Get Money” and “Social Distancing” from My Turn, as well as co-producing “Both Sides” f/Gucci Mane. He’s also collaborated with Rylo Rodriguez on “No Fentanyl/Camera Roll.”

“UMPG is happy to be partnering with rising creator Chi Chi. He is already seeing success with hits like Lil Baby’s “On Me” and we are confident he will become one of the industry’s most sought-after producers,” said UMPG Co-Head A&R, Walter Jones.

"I've been working hard for a while now and have been able to make great strides. I am excited to get started with my new supportive team at UMPG and create history one record at a time,” added Chi Chi.

Raised in a Nigerian household, Chi Chi grew up influenced by afro-beats and blueprint styles created by producers like Wheezy and Southside.
