SILVER LININGS: PULSE IS POUNDING
4/29/20

Pulse Music Group is the subject of our latest Silver Linings dispatch, and despite the lockdown there's much to celebrate in Silver Lake (and we don't just mean avocado toast delivery from Forage). With a string of recent #1s, the indie pubco had Drake’s “Toosie Slide” hit #1 on the Hot 100 and Future & Drake’s “Life Is Good” reach #1 at Rhythmic and Urban Radio; both of these scorching-hot cuts were co-written and co-produced by OZ. Harry Styles’ “Adore You,” meanwhile, which also hit #1 at Top 40 radio, was co-written and produced by Tyler Johnson.

Pulse hopes to expand its hot streak thanks a bevy of new signings; the company has inked an array of tunesmiths and producers of late, including Audrey Mika, Alice Longvu Gao as part of a new JV with Madison Love, TatiaunaTatuMatthews (PnB Rock, Eve) and Jimmy Gutch (Bishop Briggs, Lukas Graham).

These writers and artists join over 180 active clients, including Starrah, Ty Dolla $ign, YEBBA, Rich the Kid, James Blake, YBN Cordae, El-P and Bonnie McKee.

Scotty, Josh, Maria, Ashley, Joe and team were on their 300th Zoom call of the afternoon and thus unavailable for comment.
