FORSYTH JOINS WARNER CHAPPELL MUSIC
7/16/19

Warner Chappell Music has tapped music and media exec Hank Forsyth as EVP, Strategy and Business Development. With his new role, Forsyth will develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive results for WCM’s growing roster of songwriters and its catalog. Based in the N.Y. offices, Forsyth will report to WCM Co-Chairs/CEO & COO Guy Moot and Carianne Marshall, respectively.

“Hank comes to Warner Chappell with deep experience across the publishing, label, and biz dev spaces,” said Moot and Marshall. “We’ve embarked on an exciting new era in Warner Chappell history, and we’re very happy to welcome Hank into the fold.” Forsyth adds, “Global opportunities for songwriters have never been greater, and the forward-thinking, creative, service-oriented culture that Guy and Carianne are nurturing makes this an incredible place to be. I look forward to working with the team.”

Forsyth, who began his career as an equity analyst at Salomon Brothers and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, was most recently COO and CFO of the global media and content company Blackbird Production Partners, where he remains an advisor. His previous roles include SVP/GM of Blue Note Records, where he worked alongside top dog Don Was, and spent a near ten years with EMI Group and EMI Publishing. Forsyth holds an MBA degree from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from Trinity College.
