ACTIVE ROCK IS (RED) BULLISH ON BEARTOOTH

“Might Love Myself” by Red Bull Records' billion-streaming band Beartooth has earned the band their first #1 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart. The track appears on the band’s fifth album, The Surface, which has racked up 90m+ streams since its October release.

Ten years into the band’s career, Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo confirms that the surprisingly optimistic shift in the band’s message found on The Surface was motivated by the singer/songwriter's conscious decision to give up alcohol two years ago to focus on his physical and mental health.

"Historically, Beartooth songs have focused on the negative and difficult head spaces I've been through—and I think we all go through—in our lives,” says Shomo. "Taking the thing that consumes the most energy in my life and turning it into a positive, and the result being our best-received record yet, lets me know I’m going in the right direction."

While the message may be brighter, fans of the band can still count on the five-piece—consisting of Shomo, Zach Huston, Will Deely, Oshie Bichar and Connor Denis—to deliver melodic, kick-ass rock punctuated by Shomo’s unmistakable scream-sing vocals.

"We, as a company, really believe in artist development,” said Greg Hammer, managing director of Red Bull Records. “When we sign artists it's always a 10-year plan, and the last 10 years of work have led us to this moment where we have an amazing, loyal fanbase who love what the band is doing—along with the potential for an infinitely larger audience. This is the best-case scenario.”

Headed into 2024, the band is loaded for bear (yes, we see what we did there) as it embarks on a 60-date world tour along with top-billing slots at ShipRocked and Rock Am Ring festivals.
