BET ON RED: "SKEEYEE" HEATS UP
Open Shift/gamma. (not a label) breakthrough Sexyy Red is hitting new peaks with her second viral single, "Skeeyee." The track entered Spotify's U.S. chart for the first time on 9/1 while surging to #30 at Apple Music—up 15 spots.
Red initially took off courtesy of gamma. distribution arm Vydia. Multiple cuts off her mixtape Hood's Hottest Princess are charting at Apple Music, including "Hellcats SRT" and "Looking for My Hoes (Ain't My Fault)," the latter climbing to #99. The project is currently in the Top 10 of Apple's album chart. That makes four songs from Princess charting at DSPs, counting Red's first viral cut, "Pound Town 2."
"Skeeyee," meanwhile, is climbing the Rhythm chart as the track becomes a legit street anthem. How far will this one go? Stay tuned. While you're standing by, we'll be looking into what went down in Pound Town 1.
