LIL WAYNE TAKES THA CARTER ON TOUR

Lil Wayne has teamed up with Live Nation, Young Money and Rolling Loud for the Welcome to Tha Carter Tour, scheduled to begin 4/4 at The Fillmore in Minneapolis. Boasting 28 dates, the North American run makes a stop 4/16 at the Apollo Theater in New York City before wrapping up 5/13 in L.A.

The tour is named after Lil Wayne's fourth studio album, 2004's Tha Carter. Its aptly titled follow-up, Tha Carter II, arrived the following year and was certified double platinum. In total, there are five albums in Tha Carter series, with the latest installment, Tha Carter V, having dropped in 2018.

The tour announcement precedes The Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective pre-Grammy event, where Lil Wayne will receive the Global Impact Award.

Tickets for the Welcome to Tha Carter Tour go on sale Friday (2/3). For more information click here while we count our millis (or lack thereof).
