MORADI HEADS TO HALLWOOD

Chris Moradi, who spent 22 years at IGA, has joined Hallwood Media as SVP Promotion & Licensing. The hiring reunites Moradi with Hallwood founder/CEO Neil Jacobson, who previously served as president of Geffen Records.

“Chris has been one of my favorite executives for a very long time,” Jacobson said. “His skills, specifically his understanding of how to sell music in its most rudimentary form, is what sets him apart. As the entire industry shifts in terms of music discovery and licensing, knowing how to articulate the elements of what our producers, songwriters and their music do to a whole new set of music consumers on the wholesale level will benefit both them and our incredible clientele. As I’ve said before, ‘Licensing is the new radio’—and we are bringing in one of the best radio people in the world to drive that shift.”

The addition of Moradi, most recently IGA’s national Top 40 promo exec, continues the writer/producer management company’s expansion and diversification of services available to its clients. The company’s roster includes Jeff Bhasker, Murda Beatz, David Stewart and Brendan O’Brien.
