GETS EVP STRIPES

Republic has upped Brett Alperowitz to EVP, A&R. He’ll report to President, West Coast Creative, Wendy Goldstein, who made the announcement. The NYC-based exec was elevated to SVP A&R in 2015.

Alperowitz, who’s been part of House Lipman since the label's 1995 launch (he was its third employee), will remain GM of the Casablanca Records imprint while inking and developing new acts for the mothership. His signings include 2020 breakout BENEE as well as Milky Chance, Volbeat and more. As for Casablanca, he's scored with Tiësto, Felix Jaehns, SG Lewis and, of course, an abiding friendship with Claude Rains.
