U.K. MIDWEEKS: A JAM IN THE TOP 5

Ava Max and Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason are battling it out for this week’s U.K. Official Albums #1 in an extremely tight race—just 1,700 sales currently separate the Top 5. Over on singles, 24kGoldn f/Iann Dior’s “Mood” (Black Butter) has moved into the pole position.

Max’s Heaven & Hell (Atlantic) has taken the lead on albums just ahead of Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets’ live recording Live At The Roundhouse (Sony Music CG).

Yusuf/Cat Stevens could land his ninth Top 10 album with a re-recording of his 1970 album, Tea For The Tillerman 2 (UMC), at #3, while Run The Jewels are set to re-enter at #4 with RTJ4 (BMG) following its release on physical formats (the album landed at #18 in June on its initial digital-only release). Rounding out the Top 5 is Training Day 3 from U.K. rapper Potter Payper .

Alicia KeysAlicia (RCA) is eyeing up a Top 10 debut at #7, just ahead of Keith Urban’s The Speed of Now (EMI) at #8. Charli XCX is set to return to the Top 40 with her lockdown album, How I’m Feeling Now (Atlantic), currently at #11 following a vinyl release.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, “Mood” is currently the most-streamed track of the week. Further down, Justin Bieber is on track for the highest new entry with “Holy” f/Chance The Rapper (EMI) currently at #10.

Three songs are on course for new peaks in the Top 10, including Paul Woolford & Diplo f/Kareen Lomax’s “Looking For Me” (Ministry of Sound) at #4, Jason Derulo’s “Take You Dancing” at #7 (Atlantic), and Miley Cyrus’ “Midnight Sky” (RCA) at #8.

The highest climber after 48 hours—and the most downloaded song of the week so far—is Sigala and James Arthur’s “Lasting Lover” (Ministry of Sound), up 10 slots to #17.
