FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, a collab between country singer Jimmie Allen and rapper Nelly, and the second album from Mexican teen trio Eslabon Armado lead the way at iTunes and Apple Music this flipover Friday.

Gaslighter (Columbia), the first album since Natalie Maines, Martie Erwin Maguire and Emily Strayer dropped the “dixie,” opens at #1 at iTunes albums followed by Oliver Tree’s Ugly is Beautiful (Atlantic) at #3.

Bush’s eighth studio album, The Kingdom (Zuma Rock/BMG), opens at #4. Lianne La Havas’ self-titled third album (Warner)—her first in five years—is #6, Kansas’ 16th collection, The Absence of Presence (InsideOut) is #8, and The Pretenders’ secure #10 with Hate for Sale (BMG).

Besides opening at #9 at iTunes, Eslabon Armado’s Vibras de Noche (DEL) is the top new arrival at Apple Music, coming in at #3, ahead of NoCap’s mixtape Steel Human at #4 and the deluxe edition of Jhene Aiko’s Chilombo (Def Jam) at #6.

Topping the iTunes songs list is Jimmie Allen f/Nelly’s “Bettie James” (This is Hit/Stoney Creek).

The two collaborations between DJ Khaled and Drake are in the Top 40 at iTunes and Apple Music. “Popstar” (OVO/We The Best/Epic) is #2 in sales and, at #16, the highest charting new entry on Apple Music. “Greece” is #12 in sales and #34 in streams. Tygo’s remix of Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got to Do With It” (Sony) walks in at #6, one slot ahead of BTS’ “your eyes tell” (Virgin).
