LIVE NATION AND MUSIC FORWARD AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS

Live Nation and House of Blues Music Forward Foundation have announced the recipients for their 2020 scholarship programs. A total of $45k will be awarded to five college students pursuing music industry careers.

Selected based on academic performance, leadership skills and a commitment to the live entertainment experience, the diverse group scholarship recipients are Sterlyn Termine, Ania Holland, Sean Madden, Emma Martin and Rebecca Berth, who is the inaugural recipient of Minnesota-based Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union scholarship.

Additionally, this is the second year Living Legacy Foundation has supported an award to assist youth who have experienced homelessness and or the foster care system. The $10k David E. Ballard Scholarship was awarded to Holland.

“We are dedicated to ongoing action to making a difference and proudly support this year’s esteemed awardees as part of our collective strategy to amplify diversity and inclusion in the industry,” said Mark Campana, COO, Live Nation U.S. Concerts.

Nurit Siegel Smith, Executive Director, Music Forward Foundation, adds, “These students represent the diverse perspectives and voices that will lead the future of music and innovation in entertainment.”

Reviewers for scholarship selections included Live Nation, Ticketmaster, SAG-AFTRA, Paul Hastings LLP, Union Bank, Emerson Bran Management, Crush Music, OAKSway Entertainment LLC, Friedman Entertainment Advisors and the American Heart Association.
