U.K. MIDWEEKS:  AFTER GLOWS

The Weeknd is heading for his second #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with After Hours (Island). Over on singles, Saint Jhn is on course for another week at the top with “Roses” (Hitco/Ministry of Sound).

Winning on both streaming and downloads, After Hours is 6k combined sales ahead of Morrissey, whose 13th solo album, I Am Not a Dog on a Chain (BMG), starts at #2.

An unreleased rarities EP from David Bowie, Is It Any Wonder? (Parlophone), is the third highest new entry on today’s midweek update at #4. Manchester band The Slow Readers Club are on the cusp of their first Top 5 with The Joy Of The Return (Modern Sky) currently at #5.

Following his death Friday, Kenny Rogers All The Hits & All New Love Songs (EMI) is #6. The compilation peaked at #14 on its release in 1999, and now could mark Rogers’ first Top 10 record since August 1985.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Saint Jhn’s “Roses” is currently 4k combined sales ahead of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” at #2. That's one of three songs from him in the Top 20: “Alone Again” is #14 and “Too Late” is #17.

Boosted by a new remix featuring K-pop star Hwa Sa, Dua Lipa’s “Physical” (Warner Bros.) has lifted two places to #5.
