ADA'S CHALMERS JOINS YOUTUBE

Former Warner U.K. ADA chief Dan Chalmers has been named Director of YouTube Music in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Rumors of his move surfaced last summer.

In his new role, Chalmers is responsible for running YouTube’s Music business in EMEA, reporting to the Head of YouTube in EMEA, Cécile Frot-Coutaz.

With more than 20 years of music industry experience, Chalmers was most recently President of ADA in the U.K. He also looked after two Warner imprints, East West and Rhino Records. While at Warner, he worked with artists including Stormzy, Pink Floyd, and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

"His leadership, relationships and perspective will further strengthen our European leadership team and our commitment to music," Frot-Coutaz said.
