ALANIS TAKES HER PILL ON THE ROAD

Just four days before Jagged Little Pill opens on Broadway, Alanis Morissette has announced that she will celebrate the 25th anniversary of her breakthrough album with a 31-date North American tour.

The Live Nation-produced tour starts 6/2 in Portland and will stop at the Hollywood Bowl (7/9) and Jones Beach in New York (7/26) before wrapping at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on 7/25. Garbage and Liz Phair will be opening the shows.

Presales begin 12/10 and tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning 12/13.

Morisette is bundling her upcoming release Such Pretty Forks In The Road (Epiphany Music) with each ticket sale; “Reasons I Drink” is the instant grat download. The album, her first collection of new music since 2012, will be released 5/1.

The fact that the tour announcement is the week the show opens is smart marketing. It is not ironic nor a coincidence.
