GOES SUPERNOVA
Interscope's Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper-led A Star Is Born soundtrack has debuted at #1 on the Top 50 Chart with north of 220k. In the final days, the set managed to soar past twenty one pilots' Trench (Fueled by Ramen), which lands at #2 with 170k.
Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V (Young Money) slides to #3, moving 130k in its second week out. In fact, the entire Top 5 is made up of six-figure numbers, as new releases from Quality Control/Motown/Capitol's Lil Baby & Gunna and EMI Nashville's Eric Church bow with 126k and 117k, respectively.
As for the other key debuts, Fantasy's Steve Perry scores 72k—enough to land at #6—while a new one from Word's For King & Country comes in at #7 with 62k.
When it comes to marketshare, UMG is #1 with 66%, WMG follows with 21% and SME is #3 with 8%, while the indies claim 5%.
