THE RETURN OF TRL: NEW MUSICAL GUESTS ANNOUNCED

As you may have heard, MTV's TRL is returning. The rebooted show's debut installment on 10/2 will feature Ed Sheeran and Migos and the newly announced day 2 lineup on 10/3 will include Noah Cyrus, Playboi Carti and PRETTMUCH. More guests will be announced soon.

The show will be hosted by D.C. Young Fly and the TRL squad, including Tamara Dhia, Amy Pham, Erik Zachary, Lawrence Jackson and content creators such as Liza Koshy and The Dolan Twins.

The daily live show, broadcast from the network's Times Square HQ, became must-see TV in its original incarnation. While the show has been transformed from a video request show to what MTV describes as an "always-on content engine," with teen-oriented material on multiple platforms.

Look for the #TRL social presence to be ginormous, and for clips from the TV show to be disseminated socially in real time. An official TRL show will air on Musical.ly on Mondays and Thursdays.

Rumors that Amy Doyle has tgotten the resurrected hashtag as an intimate tattoo couldn't be confirmed at presstime.
