In the domestic box office's worst weekend of 2015 yet, the highest-grossing film is five weeks old and earned $11m, whille the top debut landed at #5 with $5m. That new release is Weinstein's Burnt, which stars Bradley Cooper as an innovative, but severely self-destructive, chef. The film received catastrophic reviews, opening to a 27% from Rotten Tomatoes and a B- CinemaScore. Rolling Stone's Peter Travers referred to it as "a recipe for cinematic indigestion."

Warner Bros.' Sandra Bullock and Billy Bob Thornton-led Our Brand is Crisis also tanked in its debut week, landing at #8 and pulling in just north of $3m, coming nowhere near its $28m budget.

On the bright side, the latest installment of the James Bond franchise, Spectre, comes stateside next weekend. Internationally, it proved to be a guiding light, as it earned $80m across six territories. Earning approximately £42m in the U.K., it shattered the highest seven-day gross record in U.K. box office history from its predecessor, Skyfall.
