APPLE MUSIC: THE DROIDS WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Apple has traditionally been a closed-loop ecosystem but that will not be the case for Apple Music, evidenced by what appear to be leaked screen shots of an app for the Android OS.

German tech site MobileGeeks broke the story with pics that showed details of Apple Music's app such as New, For You and Beats 1.

Everyone in the tech community is cautiously optimistic this is not a photo-shopped hoax but a sure sign the rumored late-fall release to Android is indeed happening.

The timing has key advantages; being available before Christmas shopping season allows for a whole new customer base who are eager for cool new gifting ideas.

CEO Tim Cook recently announced that Apple Music had netted 6.5m subscribers worldwide. With the Android user base introduced to the product next, it will be interesting to see how big the next wave gets.
