KENDRICK CRUSHES KENNEDY CENTER

Last night in Washington, D.C., Kendrick Lamar took the stage with the NSO Pops for a special, rousing performance at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall.

Having the National Symphony Orchestra backing up Lamar on some of the best work from his masterful hip hop album To Pimp A Butterfly was just as captivating as promised.

The pin-drop silence from the crowd alone speaks volumes, as Lamar says a few words before launching into the anthem "Alright"—he is the voice of a new generation and has their full attention.

Lamar recently announced a small tour of intimate shows called "Kunta's Groove Sessions" with his backing band WT and TDE labelmate Jay Rock.
