Stat of the day: British acts accounted for one-seventh of all albums sold worldwide in 2014. In that light, our Friday snapshot reveals that the four Top 10 albums that are not compilations are from U.K.-based acts, including both versions of Flo’s latest. If you throw in Sony’s Fatboy Slim tribute, we’re up to five.

Singles are a different story, with Yanks accounting for four of the Top 5, joined by Jamaican OMI. Btw, the newcomer to the leaderboard, Lawson, is a young pop group on Polydor whose second album came out four weeks ago.
