Bronfman Steps Down

JUNIOR GOES CHAIRLESS: As expected, after failing once more to engineer a merger with EMI, Warner Music Group Chairman Edgar Bronfman Jr., who stepped down as CEO earlier this year and was replaced by Stephen Cooper, is giving up the Chairman's seat as well. Bronfman will remain a corporate director at the music company, which was sold to Len Blavatnik’s Access Industries for $3.3 billion in May. Bronfman will relinquish his chairmanship on Jan. 31, reportedly because his other duties are taking up so much of his time. A successor has yet to be named. Will he now collaborate with Grammy-nominated singer/ songwriter Linda Chorney? Let the rumor mongering begin. (12/5p)
