Tyler Out at Idol, J. Lo Next?

TYLER GONE, J.LO NEXT? Get ready for Charlie Sheen and Jerry Lewis on next year’s American Idol panel. Steven Tyler has decided to leave the top-rated Fox singing competition after two years serving as a judge for the tenth and 11th seasons of Idol. “After some long... hard... thoughts… I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress American Idol before she boils my rabbit,” he said. “I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back—but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band. The next few years are going to be dedicated to kicking some serious ass--the ultimate in auditory takeover.” The band’s new album, Music from Another Dimension, is set for release Nov. 6. Meanwhile, on this morning’s Today Show, Jennifer Lopez indicated this could have been her last year on the show as well. “I am thinking that maybe it’s time for me to go and do other things that I really love to do,” she told Natalie Morales. “But then again, I really love the show…” (7/12p)
