Bartels to Roast Ivey

POISON IVEY: Don’t expect Jeff Ross or Lisa Lampanelli at tomorrow night’s City of Hope comedy roast of Clear Channel SVP Programming John Ivey at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, the first time the event has been held on the West Coast. Instead, the MC for the evening will be Island Def Jam’s Steve Bartels, a deadpan master of comedic arts. This year’s roast of Ivey is being chaired by past honoree Richard Palmese along with WB’s Peter Gray and Republic’s Joel Klaiman. Past honorees include Allen Grubman, Jason Flom and Stephen Hill. The event has raised more than $1.5 million for the City of Hope over the last four years. (11/6p)
