Grammy tribute to Levon Helm

GRAMMY FEVER: AND THEY SHALL BE LEVON EDITION: Are you amped for the Grammys? We're practically quivering with excitement, and this triple espresso has nothing to do with it. Today it was announced that Mumford & Sons will join Elton John, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, T Bone Burnett, Mavis Staples and Zac Brown for a performance in honor of Levon Helm, who died last year. The all-star ensemble will tackle The Band's "The Weight," which of course showcased Helm's expressive vocals and incomparable drumming. You may recall Staples' stellar contribution to an earlier version of "The Weight," in Martin Scorsese's 1976 concert flick The Last Waltz. (2/6p)
