Columbia Nashville has tapped Shane Allen to develop and oversee radio promo plans for the label’s roster, which includes Kenny Chesney, Tyler Farr, Maren Morris and Chase Rice. He starts his job as Senior Vice President Promotion on Tuesday (5/31).

Reporting directly to Sony Music Nashville EVP Promotion & Artist Development Steve Hodges, Allen most recently was VP Promotion for Universal Music Nashville’s four imprints—EMI Nashville, MCA, Mercury and Capitol. Allen and Hodges worked together at Universal; Allen succeeded Hodges when he left the helm of the Capitol promotion department.

"Shane brings an impeccable promotion track record, unrivaled passion for the music, high business acumen and a stellar reputation at country radio to Sony Music Nashville," Hodges waxed enthusiastically.
